Headache

Headaches are one of the most common health complaints, affecting people of all ages. They can range from a minor annoyance to a debilitating condition that disrupts your daily life. Understanding the type of headache you have and knowing how to manage it is key to finding relief and getting back to feeling your best.

Types of Headaches

There are several different types of headaches, each with its own causes and symptoms:

  • Tension Headaches: These are the most common type of headache, often described as a dull, aching pain that feels like a tight band around your head. Stress, anxiety, and muscle tension are common triggers.

  • Migraines: Migraines are intense, throbbing headaches that can last for hours or even days. They’re often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraines can be triggered by various factors, including certain foods, hormonal changes, or stress.

  • Cluster Headaches: These are severe headaches that occur in cyclical patterns or clusters. They often cause excruciating pain around one eye and can last for weeks or months, followed by headache-free periods.

  • Sinus Headaches: If you have a sinus infection or inflammation, you might experience a sinus headache. These headaches cause pain and pressure in the forehead, cheeks, and around the eyes.
